- Job Description: Asst. Sub-Inspector (M) is the entry grade of clerical staff in the Police, handling tasks like Receipt, Despatch, typing, Computer operation, maintaining records and registers, office files and initial correspondences. Some senior ASI (M) are also entrusted to handle cash, maintain cashbooks, prepare bills and scrutinize bills.
- Classification: Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Home Department.
