Other Important Information

Contract Period: Initially for one year, extendable for a further period of one year subject to satisfactory performance and requirement, with approval of Competent Authority. Engagement shall not continue beyond the Consultant attaining the age of 70 years.
Work Description – Consultant (Medical Specialist): Minimum 3 days/week; minimum 4 hours/day (preferably morning shift); minimum 6 and maximum 12 visits per month.
Work Description – Consultant (GDMO): Minimum 3 days/week; minimum 8 hours/day; may be called for duty in shifts; minimum 8 and maximum 12 visits per month.
Duties: Include Outdoor and Indoor Services including Operative Procedures, participation in Village Health Camps and other medical/health-related activities outside hospital/dispensary premises.
TA/DA: No TA/DA for regular duty. For tours undertaken on Company’s direction by retired Medical Specialists of CIL/Subsidiary Companies, TA/DA and boarding/lodging charges shall be payable at par with the grade in which they retired.
Accommodation: No permanent accommodation. Transit accommodation may be provided subject to availability.
Leave: No paid leave entitlement.
Benefits: Consultants are not eligible for retirement benefits such as gratuity, PF, post-retirement medical benefits, or pension for the period of engagement.
Performance Appraisal: Reviewed at end of one year; further extension may be granted for up to one year based on HOD recommendation and Competent Authority approval.
Termination: Contract can be terminated with one month’s notice on either side or equivalent payment in lieu of notice. Absence for 15+ continuous days without written intimation amounts to voluntary abandonment and automatic termination.
Confidentiality: Consultants must maintain strict confidentiality of all information/documents gathered during engagement.
Prescription Guidelines: Consultants shall preferably prescribe medicines available in the hospital or Amrit Pharmacy; if not available, generic medicines from outside should be preferred. FSSAI products/non-reimbursable items should not be prescribed.
NCL’s Right: NCL reserves the right to change the number of vacancies and cancel/restrict/modify/alter the engagement process without notice.
