  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): All eligible candidates will be required to appear in a Computer Based Test. The CBT for all posts (vacancy notice nos. 35/2026 to 49/2026) may be conducted on the same day and same time.
  2. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on CBT performance will be called for document verification.

  • Basis of Appointment: Absorption Basis from Regular/Contractual employees working in Operations & Maintenance departments of Indian Railways/Government owned or operated Railways/Metro Railways/RRTS.
  • Medical Standard: Bee-one (B-1). Candidates may also be required to undergo Audiometry and Perimetry tests.
  • Place of Posting: Anywhere in NHSRCL/MAHSR Project.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 02 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field within Operations & Maintenance departments of Indian Railways, Government-owned or operated Railways, Metro Railways, or RRTS systems.
  • Experience Certificate: Candidates must submit a Competency Certificate or Experience Certificate issued by their employer, clearly indicating required work experience including year-wise details of nature and type of work performed.
  • Higher Qualification Note: Candidates having higher qualification (BE/BTech etc.) but not having done ITI/Diploma (Essential Qualification) are NOT eligible for the post of Technician.
  • One Application Only: Candidates can apply against only one post from vacancy notice nos. 35/2026 to 49/2026.
  • Probation Period: Appointees will be on probation for a period of one year.
  • Surety Bond on Joining: Selected candidates must execute a surety bond of Rs. 3,00,000/- to serve the corporation for a minimum period of 4 years (exclusive of LWP/EOL period). A prior notice of 90 days is required before resignation.
  • Surety Bond on Training: If training is imparted, candidates must execute a surety bond for the cost of training to serve for a minimum of 6 years after training completion. Three months prior notice required before resignation.
