- Commission Type: Short Service Commission (SSC) initially for 12 years, extendable by maximum 02 years subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility and willingness.
- Training Location: Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Course commences Jun 2027.

- RPA Specialisation: Candidates selected under GS(X) may volunteer for Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) specialisation.
- Merchant Navy Personnel: Candidates with Government of India Certificate of Competency (Foreign going) as Second Mate, Mate, Master, or 1st Class Engineer born between 02 Jul 1997 to 01 Jan 2008 may apply for respective branches.
