Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Common Eligibility Test (CET) – Graduate Level 2026: An offline (OMR-based) objective type written examination will be conducted from 01-12-2026 to 03-12-2026. The exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions carrying 300 marks with a duration of 3 hours. There is negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
- CET Score Validity: The CET score will be valid for 3 years from the date of result as per Personnel Department notification dated 16-01-2025.
- Main/Departmental Recruitment Exam: After CET, separate recruitment examinations (written test and/or interview) will be conducted by the respective recruiting agencies for each post as per departmental service rules. Selection will be made on the basis of merit/category-wise vacancies.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score at least 40% marks in CET to be eligible for the main recruitment exam. SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of up to 5% in minimum qualifying marks.
- Normalization: If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts/phases, normalization of scores will be applied.

- Candidates must log in to the SSO Portal at http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and select the Recruitment Portal available under Citizen Apps (G2C).
- Click on ‘Apply Now’ for the relevant post.
- If OTR (One Time Registration) fee has not been paid, complete the OTR process first by selecting your category (Unreserved/Reserved) and paying the prescribed fee at authorized e-Mitra kiosk or Jan Suvidha Kendra (CSC).
- After completing OTR, log in via SSO ID and fill the Online Application Form carefully.
- Upload live photo, signature (Hindi & English), and thumb impression as per guidelines in the OTR dashboard.
- Upload required educational qualification documents in the Document Details section as per recruitment rules.
- Fill all required details accurately. Candidate is solely responsible for correctness of information.
- After Final Submit, an Online Application Number (Application ID) will be generated. Save/print the application form.

- Reservation: Reservations are applicable for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, Women (30% horizontal, category-wise), Ex-Servicemen (12.5% horizontal), Outstanding Sports Persons (2% horizontal), and Divyang/PwD candidates as per Rajasthan government rules.
- Women Reservation: Of the 30% seats reserved for women, 8% are for widows and 2% for divorced/separated women (within the same category).
- Age Relaxation: General women: 5 years; SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS male (Rajasthan domicile): 5 years; SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS female (Rajasthan domicile): 10 years; Ex-Servicemen: 15 years (max 50 years, or 55 years for direct recruitment with lower post experience); Divyang/PwD: 5 years additional; Widows/Divorced women: No upper age limit (subject to retirement age). Age relaxations are non-cumulative.
- Candidates from Other States: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories of states other than Rajasthan will be treated as General category candidates.
- Scheduled Area: Only bona fide local residents of the Scheduled Area of Rajasthan can apply for posts reserved for Scheduled Area.
- OTR Penalty: If a candidate remains absent from two or more recruitment exams in a financial year, their OTR facility will be blocked. Reactivation requires payment of penalty fee (Rs. 750/- first time, Rs. 1500/- second time).
- Disqualification: Candidates with more than one living spouse, those who accepted dowry at marriage, those with more than 2 children born after 01-06-2002, or those debarred from any competitive exam are not eligible.
- Exam Pattern: 150 MCQ questions, 300 marks, 3 hours. Subjects: History & Culture of India & Rajasthan, Geography of India & Rajasthan, Indian Polity (with Rajasthan reference), Economy of India & Rajasthan, Science & Technology, Logical Reasoning & Mathematics, Current Events & Civic Duty, Public Health, Computer Knowledge, General Hindi, General English.
- OMR Answer Sheet: Each question has 5 options (A, B, C, D, E). Option E must be darkened for unattempted questions. If more than 10% questions have no option darkened, the candidate will be disqualified. Extra 10 minutes are given after exam time to darken option E for unanswered questions.
- Scribe/Compensatory Time: Available for eligible Divyang candidates as per RSSB guidelines. Candidates must submit required medical certificates and undertakings at least 1-2 days before exam date.
- Application Withdrawal: Candidates who do not wish to appear in the exam can withdraw their application approximately 1 month before the exam (3-day window). Details will be notified on RSSB website.
- Answer Key: Question paper and answer key will be uploaded on RSSB website after the exam. Objections can be raised by paying Rs. 100/- per question as per the process notified separately.
