Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- There will be no interviews. Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from marks secured in qualifying examinations.
- Graduate Apprentice: 20% weightage to 10th marks + 20% weightage to 12th/Diploma (whichever is higher) + 60% weightage to aggregate marks in Engineering/MBA = 100 marks total.
- Diploma Apprentice: 30% weightage to 10th marks + 70% weightage to Diploma in Engineering = 100 marks total.
- ITI Apprentice: 30% weightage to 10th marks + 70% weightage to ITI marks = 100 marks total.
- In case of a tie in total marks, the candidate older in age will be considered senior for further selection.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce all original testimonials/certificates at the time of document verification.
- Candidates will also have to produce a certificate of medical fitness before joining.

- Training Duration: One Year under Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
- Domicile Requirement: Only candidates who are domicile of Bihar State are eligible to apply.
- Total Vacancies: 32 (Graduate: 06, Diploma: 09, ITI: 17).
- PAF/PAA Preference: 25% seats are earmarked for candidates from Project Affected Families (PAF) and Project Affected Areas (PAA) of STPL. A certificate from Competent Authority/Revenue Department/Panchayat duly verified by SJVN offices is required.
- No Employment Guarantee: No extension of training or employment will be given after completion of one-year training by SJVN/STPL.
- Ineligibility Conditions: Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in SJVN/STPL, or who have post-qualification training/job experience of one year or more, or where the gap between result declaration and commencement of training is more than five years, are not eligible.
- Single Application: Candidates should apply for only one trade/discipline. In case of multiple applications, the latest one will be considered final.
- Result Awaited Candidates: Need not apply.
- Registration under BOAT/NAPS: Contracts will be registered under BOAT/NAPS Portal. Candidates already registered and trained under these schemes need not apply.
- Accommodation: Candidates will have to make their own stay and transportation arrangements.
