- Computer Based Online Test (CBT): The exam consists of two parts:

- Exam Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes). No negative marking. Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks in Part-II: General Category: 25%; Reserved Category (EWS, SC, BC, Ex-Serviceman, Freedom Fighter, Sports Person, PwD): 20%.
- Normalization: In case the exam is held in multiple shifts, normalization of marks will be applied.
- Merit List: Prepared based on marks secured in Part-II only. In case of tie, higher age candidate gets higher merit. Sports person category merit is prepared by O/o Director/Sports, Punjab as per Sports gradation policy.
- Document Checking: Candidates qualifying the online test are called for document verification of qualification, age, reservation certificates, etc.
- Final Selection: Candidates found eligible after document checking are placed on the selection panel and issued offer of appointment.
