Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
Phase I:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in nature (No marks awarded).
- 1.6 Km Race – to be completed within 7 minutes 30 seconds.
- Long Jump – 11 Feet (3 chances).
- High Jump – 3½ Feet (3 chances).
- Note: PET will not be held for Ex-Servicemen.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest, and Weight measurements as per prescribed standards. Candidates not meeting standards will be eliminated. Appeal can be made on the same day to the Appellate Authority.
Phase II:
- Written Examination (50 Marks): Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (OMR or CBT).
- General Awareness/General Knowledge – 15 Questions (15 Marks)
- Elementary Mathematics – 10 Questions (10 Marks)
- Analytical Aptitude & Pattern Recognition – 15 Questions (15 Marks)
- Basic Knowledge in English/Hindi – 10 Questions (10 Marks)
- Total: 50 Questions, 50 Marks, 1 Hour duration
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR & Ex-Servicemen – 18 Marks; SC & OBC – 17 Marks
- No negative marking.
Phase III:
- Trade Test (50 Marks): Qualifying in nature; minimum 50% marks required for all categories. Candidates shortlisted up to 10 times category-wise vacancies based on Written Exam merit.
- Constable (Barber): Hair cutting (20), Body/Head massage (15), Knowledge of tools/machines (15)
- Constable (Washerman): Washing of clothes (15), Ironing (10), Dry-cleaning knowledge (10), Knowledge of detergents/soaps (15)
Phase IV:
- Verification of Original Documents: Educational certificates, DOB proof, caste certificates, NOC (if applicable), etc.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Fitness assessment as per MHA guidelines.
- Review Medical Examination (RME): Available for candidates declared unfit in DME, subject to written consent within 24 hours.
