- Organization: Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is a body corporate under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, established under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.
- Period of Deputation: For Joint Director and Deputy Director posts – not exceeding four years (including any preceding ex-cadre post). For Assistant Director posts – not exceeding three years.
- Place of Posting: Delhi for all posts.
- Note for Joint Director (Non-Technical): Departmental Deputy Director (Non-Technical) in pay level-11 with five years of regular service and having successfully completed Cash and Accounts Training, training in administrative vigilance and other establishment matters shall also be considered along with outsiders. If selected, the appointment shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.
- Note: Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation, and officers appointed on deputation shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
