Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Screening: Applications will be screened as per eligibility criteria and prescribed qualification.
Merit List: A merit list will be prepared category-wise (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/UR) for each trade at each location at a ratio of 1:5 times the number of training slots notified.
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of documents/certificates in order of merit (1:5 ratio). Shortlisted candidates will be communicated via registered email. No TA/DA will be paid.
Final Selection: A final merit list will be prepared based on candidates who report for document verification and are found suitable. Selection is based on percentage of marks in the final qualifying examination.
Engagement: Offer of Engagement will be issued to eligible candidates upon document verification, subject to availability of training slots. Remaining eligible candidates will be placed on a Reserved Waiting Panel (maintained at 5 times the training slot strength).
Contract: Candidates will be engaged in merit order upon accepting a tri-partite apprenticeship contract on NATS/NAPS website and submission of a medical certificate and police verification certificate.
Note: There is no written examination or interview. No application fee is charged.

Duration: Apprenticeship training is for one year from the date of joining. No extension is permitted.
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed their final examination within three years from the closing date of application (08.09.2026). Candidates awaiting results, below 17 years of age, or who have already undergone/are undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Mode of Study: Only full-time regular degree/diploma qualifications from recognised institutes/universities are accepted. Part-time/correspondence/distance/online mode qualifications are NOT eligible.
Marks: Percentage of marks in the final examination (not semester) must be mentioned in the final/consolidated mark sheet. If CGPA is mentioned, a Percentage Conversion Letter from the institute/university must be uploaded.
DBT Requirement: Candidates must have an active Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account. Name and Date of Birth must match across Matriculation Certificate, Aadhaar Card, and Bank Account.

No Employment Claim: Completion of the apprenticeship program does not entitle the apprentice to any claim for employment with BEML.
