- Age Limit: 18 to 35 years (General Male); up to 40 years (General Female); up to 40 years (Reserved Male); up to 45 years (Reserved Female); up to 45 years (Ex-Serviceman); up to 45 years (Divyang). Maximum age with all relaxations shall not exceed 45 years.
- Pay Scale: Fixed Pay Rs. 21,100/- per month for 5 years (contract basis). After satisfactory completion of 5 years, eligible for regular appointment at the prevailing basic pay scale for Helper category.

Duration: 2 hours.
- Weightage: MCQ Exam marks carry 90% weightage; Apprenticeship Certificate carries 10% weightage. Total = 100% weightage.
- Merit List: Prepared based on total weightage. Candidates called for document verification at 1.5 times the number of vacancies (or as required by GSRTC).
- Document Verification: Original certificates verified. Provisional selection list / waiting list prepared after verification.
- Special Weightage: Widow candidates get 5% bonus marks added to MCQ score. Sportspersons (National/Inter-University/SGFI level) get 5% bonus marks added to MCQ score.
