Selection Procedure

- Computer-Based Written Test: Duration of 2 hours comprising Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in 3 parts: Part-I – 20 questions on General Awareness; Part-II – 20 questions on English & Reasoning; Part-III – 60 questions on the concerned Discipline. Each question carries 1 mark; no negative marking. Pass marks: 45% (relaxed to 40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of Written Test merit (limited to the number of notified positions, discipline/category wise) will be called for Document Verification. All original certificates and self-attested copies must be produced.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Candidates qualifying Document Verification will be issued a Provisional Offer and must undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination as per BEML’s prescribed medical standards. No relaxation in health standards will be allowed.
- Final Offer of Engagement: Issued upon satisfactory Medical Report from the Company’s Doctor, as per BEML rules.

- Tenure Basis: Selected candidates will be engaged on a tenure basis for a maximum period of four years from the date of joining. The tenure ends automatically on completion of four years without further notice. This engagement does not confer any right to claim regular employee status.
- Termination: Employment can be terminated during the tenure by giving one month’s notice in writing by either party, or by payment of one month’s Basic Pay + DA in lieu of notice. Contract can also be terminated for non-performance or poor performance.
- Posting: Selected candidates may be posted to any of BEML’s Manufacturing Complexes/Business locations/upcoming manufacturing complexes. No request for change of posting will be entertained.
- Benefits: Provident Fund (on Basic Pay + DA), Gratuity (as per Gratuity Scheme), Bonus (as per Bonus Act), Income Tax/Service Tax/Professional Tax as applicable.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, additional 10 years for PwD (over and above SC/ST/OBC relaxation, subject to minimum 40% disability). Minimum marks relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/PwD.
- OBC NCL Certificate: Must not be older than six months as on the last date of application submission.
