Nursing Officer (NORCET 11)

- Qualification: B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) with registration as Nurses & Midwife; GNM candidates must have 2 years experience in a minimum 50 bedded hospital
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 Years
- Pay Scale: Level 07 in Pay Matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4600)
Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
Stage I: NORCET Preliminary (Online CBT)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- 100 MCQs of 100 marks (20 MCQs on General Knowledge & Aptitude + 80 MCQs on Nursing syllabus)
- Negative marking: 1/3 marks for each wrong answer
- Question paper divided into 5 sections of 18 minutes each (20 questions per section)
- Qualifying marks: 50 percentile for UR/EWS, 45 percentile for OBC, 40 percentile for SC/ST; PwBD gets additional 5 percentile relaxation
- This is a qualifying stage only; marks will NOT be used for final merit/rank
- Candidates qualifying Stage I equal to 5 times the total seats in each category will be called for Stage II
Stage II: NORCET Mains (Online CBT)
- Duration: 180 minutes
- 160 MCQs of 160 marks (case scenario-based questions testing nursing skills competency)
- Negative marking: 1/3 marks for each wrong answer
- Question paper divided into 4 sections of 45 minutes each (40 questions per section)
- Qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, 40% for SC/ST; PwBD gets additional 5% relaxation
Merit List & Allocation:
- Merit list prepared based on Stage II NORCET Mains performance only
- Choices/preferences invited from qualified candidates for participating institutes
- One round of seat allocation based on merit and candidate preferences
- No waiting list for NORCET
Tie-Breaking (Stage II):
- Fewer wrong answers/lesser negative marks in Stage II
- Higher marks in Stage I
- Fewer wrong answers in Stage I
- Older candidate by date of birth
- Alphabetical order of candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name

How to Apply

The application procedure for is not fully online. Candidates are advised to follow the detailed instructions given below.
- Visit the official AIIMS Examination website: www.aiimsexams.ac.in
- Online applications can be submitted from 24.07.2026 to 13.08.2026 upto 5:00 PM.
- Applicants registered under OTR (One Time Registration) in any previous examination must apply using their old ID/OTR registration.
- Fill in the online application form carefully. No corrections will be allowed after specified dates.
- Upload images of photo, signature and thumb impression as per the guidelines mentioned in ‘Upload Image Instructions’.
- Pay the prescribed application fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
- Keep a copy of the Application Form along with proof of payment for records.
- Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Autonomous Body employees must upload NOC by 18.08.2026 upto 5:00 PM.
- No physical documents are required to be sent. Any physical document will be treated as null and void.
- Choices and preferences for participating institutes will be invited at a later stage from qualified candidates.

- Notice No.: 103/2026 dated 24.07.2026 (NORCET-11)
- Gender Reservation: As per decision in 4th meeting of CIB held on 27th July 2019, 80% seats are reserved for Females and 20% for Males at participating AIIMS.
- Participating Institutes: AIIMS Avantipora, AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bilaspur, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Deoghar, AIIMS Gorakhpur, AIIMS Guwahati, AIIMS Kalyani, AIIMS Mangalagiri, AIIMS Nagpur, AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Rae Bareli, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Rewari, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Vijaypur (Jammu), AIIMS-CAPFIMS (New Delhi).
- OBC-NCL Certificate Validity: Must be valid for financial year 2026-2027, issued on or after 01.04.2026 and up to 13.08.2026.
- EWS Certificate Validity: Must be issued from 01.04.2026 to 13.08.2026 based on income of financial year 2025-2026.
- NOC Requirement: Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies must upload NOC by 18.08.2026 upto 5:00 PM, failing which candidature will be cancelled.
- PwBD Eligibility: Post identified for OL, AAV, Dw and LC(OL) categories with benchmark disability of 40% or more. Scribe and compensatory time (20 minutes per hour) available for eligible PwBD candidates.
- Experience Certificate: Must be from Head of Organization/Department, clearly mentioning number of beds, duration of employment, basic/consolidated pay, and nature of duties performed.
- Examination Centres: Cities all over India. No request for change of allocated examination centre will be entertained.
- Admit Card: To be downloaded from www.aiimsexams.ac.in only; no admit card will be sent by post.
- Legal Jurisdiction: Any dispute relating to NORCET shall be subject to jurisdiction of Courts at Delhi/New Delhi only.
