Selection Procedure

Online Examination: Objective type test conducted by BFSI SSC consisting of 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Sections include: General/Financial Awareness (20 marks), Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude (20 marks), Computer Knowledge (20 marks), General English (20 marks), and Central Bank of India Products & Services (20 marks). No negative marking for wrong answers.
Test of Local Language: Candidates must be proficient in the official/local language of the state applied for. This test is conducted after qualifying the online examination. Candidates who have studied the specified local language at 10th or 12th standard are exempted from this test.

Central Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Detail

Other Important Information:

Training Duration: 12 months. Apprentices will be trained on different aspects of banking practices, products, and processes.
Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- per month. No other allowances or benefits are applicable.
Eligibility Cut-off Date: 31.05.2026.
NATS Registration Mandatory: Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) to be eligible to apply.
No Prior Apprenticeship: Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship in Central Bank of India or any other organization earlier, nor be currently pursuing apprenticeship training.
No Job Experience: Candidates who have had training or job experience for one year or more after attaining educational qualifications are NOT eligible.
No Ex-Servicemen Reservation: No ex-servicemen/disabled ex-servicemen shall be engaged as apprentice, and there is no reservation for them.
No Employment Guarantee: Apprentices have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training.
No Transport/Hostel Facility: Apprentices will not be provided with any transport, hostel, or residential accommodation during training.
Apprentice Status: Every apprentice is a TRAINEE and not a WORKER or EMPLOYEE of the Bank. Labour laws do not apply to apprentices.
No Union Membership: Apprentices are prohibited from joining or forming any Union Body.
Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai only.
Online Examination Mode: The online examination is to be given from the candidate’s own residence and own device. No admit card is required.
State-wise Vacancies: Total 4500 seats distributed across all states/UTs. Major states include Maharashtra (586), Uttar Pradesh (580), Madhya Pradesh (459), Bihar (433), West Bengal (315), Gujarat (305), etc.
Category-wise Total Vacancies: UR-1903, OBC-1049, SC-701, EWS-454, ST-393, VI-45, HI-45, OH-45, ID-45.
