Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Race test conducted through RFID and Digitalized Equipment. Male (Technical & Tradesmen – Driver/MMV/Gardner/Painter/Carpenter/Brass Band/Pipe Band/Cobbler/Tailor/Bugler): 5 Kms in 24 minutes; Male (Cook/Water Carrier/Barber/Washer Man/Safai Karmchari): 1.6 Kms in 10 minutes; Female (Technical & Tradesmen): 1.6 Kms in 8.30 minutes (Driver/MMV etc.) or 1.6 Kms in 12 minutes (Cook/Water Carrier etc.); Pioneer Wing (Mason/Electrician): 1.6 Kms in 09 minutes. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of Height, Chest & Weight. Male minimum height: 170 cm; Female minimum height: 157 cm (with relaxations for various categories). Male chest: unexpanded 80 cm, minimum expansion 5 cm (with relaxations). Ex-Servicemen appear only for recording measurements.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 objective type questions, 100 marks, 2 hours duration. Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning (25), General Knowledge & General Awareness (25), Elementary Mathematics (25), English/Hindi (25). Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Conducted in English and Hindi only. Marks normalized for final merit.
- Trade/Skill Test: Practical assessment, qualifying in nature. Out of 50 marks, candidate must secure minimum 20 marks to qualify.
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of original documents including Matriculation certificate, Domicile/PRC, caste certificates, driving license, ITI certificates, etc.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME): Medical fitness assessment by Medical Officer/Medical Board. Candidates declared unfit in DME may undergo RME on the next day with written consent.
Cut-off Marks in CBT: CT (Technical & Tradesmen): UR-30%, EWS/OBC-25%, All other categories-20%. CT (Pioneer Wing): UR-35%, SC/ST/OBC/EWS-33%.
Final Selection: Based on normalized marks in CBT, subject to qualifying PET, PST, Trade Test, DV, and Medical Examination. State/UT-wise and category-wise merit lists for Technical & Tradesmen; All India basis for Pioneer posts.

- Recruitment Pattern: Domicile-based for Constable (Technical & Tradesmen); All India basis for Constable (Pioneer).
