Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Step 1 – Screening: Applications received within the stipulated period shall be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee to shortlist candidates for the Trade Test.
- Step 2 – Trade Test (Qualifying): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Trade Test, which will be qualifying in nature. Minimum threshold marks for the Trade Test shall be fixed by the Selection Committee.
- Step 3 – Written Examination: Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will appear in a competitive written examination consisting of:
- Paper-I (1 hour): Mental Ability Test – 50 questions, 100 marks (2 marks per correct answer, no negative marking). Covers General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Situational Judgement.
- Paper-II (30 minutes): General Awareness – 25 questions, 75 marks (3 marks per correct, -1 per wrong); English Language – 25 questions, 75 marks (3 marks per correct, -1 per wrong). Evaluated only for candidates clearing Paper-I threshold.
- Paper-III (1 hour): Concerned Subject/Trade – 50 questions, 150 marks (3 marks per correct, -1 per wrong). Evaluated only for candidates clearing Paper-I threshold.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III only.
- Mode: OMR Based or Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination. Questions set in both English and Hindi (except English Language questions). Standard: SSC+ITI/XIIth Standard. Total: 150 questions in 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Tie-Breaking: Resolved in order: (I) Higher marks in concerned subject/trade paper; (II) Lesser negative marks in concerned subject/trade; (III) Lesser negative marks in merit papers; (IV) Older date of birth; (V) Earlier acquisition of essential degree; (VI) Alphabetical order of first name.

- Fill in the Online Application Form covering all 6 tabs: Apply, Personal Details, Education, Experience, Additional Details, Uploads, and Preview & Submit.
- Upload scanned copies of Photograph (JPG, less than 50 KB), Signature (JPG, less than 50 KB), Live Photo (captured via webcam or QR code), and all required documents (PDF, less than 1 MB each) including proof of date of birth, educational certificates, experience certificates, caste/disability certificates (if applicable), and discharge book (if applicable).
