Selection Procedure

For Assistant Professor:
- Phase I (Shortlisting): Basic Academic Score and API Score (100 marks) + Written Objective Test of relevant discipline (40 marks) = Total 140 marks for shortlisting.
- Phase II (Interview): Assessment of Teaching Skills/Presentation (20 marks) + Interview (10 marks).
- Syllabi for written exam: NET syllabus for Sciences/Humanities & Social Sciences; GATE syllabus for Engineering/Technology; GPAT syllabus for Pharmacy.
- For Music discipline, shortlisted candidates must qualify a Music Skill Assessment Test before Phase II.
- Final selection based on Phase II performance (minimum 50% of total score i.e. 15 marks required).
For Associate Professor and Professor:
- Phase I (Shortlisting): Basic Academic Score and API/Research Score (80 marks); cut-off at minimum 50% of total score.
- Phase II (Interview): Assessment of Teaching Skills/Presentation (20 marks) + Interview (20 marks).
- For Music discipline, shortlisted candidates must clear Music Skill Assessment Test before interview.
- A duly constituted Selection Committee will conduct the interview and submit the final result in a sealed envelope to the Vice Chancellor.
Waiting List: A waiting list of not more than 2 candidates shall be maintained, valid for one year from declaration of result.
