Selection Procedure

- A merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (ITI).
- If two or more applicants secure the same marks, preference will be given to the candidate who passed the qualifying examination earlier (year of passing).
- If the year of passing is also the same, date of birth will be used as a tiebreaker — older candidates will be given seniority.

- After successful document verification, candidates will be issued a training engagement letter indicating place of posting and date of reporting.

- After joining, a joining letter will be issued from the place of posting.
- Candidates must report to the HRD office with a copy of the joining letter for contract creation on the portal.

- Training Duration: One year. The contract will be automatically terminated on completion of one year from the date of commencement of practical training.
- Eligibility: Applicant must possess ITI certificate in the trade applied for, be registered on the NAPS portal, and have secured at least 40% marks in ITI.

- No Employment Guarantee: Upon completion of apprenticeship, ECL has NO obligation to offer employment, nor can an apprentice claim employment on grounds of completion of apprenticeship.
- Safety Clause: Employer’s liability in case of injury is limited as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. Employer is not responsible for injury arising out of apprentice’s negligence or willful disregard of safety instructions.
