Service Bond & Consent Deposit:
- Candidates must execute a Service Bond on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper worth ₹110 at the time of joining.
- Minimum service commitment: 7 years total (2 years probation + 5 years post-probation).
- Leaving during probation: Refund all emoluments received + ₹5,00,000 as liquidated damages.
- Resigning before 5 years post-probation: ₹10,00,000 (₹10 lakhs) as liquidated damages.
- Original certificates must be deposited; security deposit of ₹1,00,000 required, refunded upon return of certificates.
Field Posting Requirement:
- Selected candidates in Electrical posts must mandatorily work in field postings (preferably rural/remote areas) for a minimum of 5 years from date of initial appointment.
- For APEPDCL AEE (Electrical): first 5 years include 2 years in MRT/Construction wings and 3 years in Operation/Office posts in rural/tribal areas.
Reservation Policy:
- Vertical reservations for SC, ST, BC (A, B, C, D & E), and EWS as per AP Government Orders and Presidential Order (AP Presidential Order 2025).
- Horizontal reservations: 33⅓% for Women and 4% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities within respective vertical categories.
- 95% of vacancies in each zone reserved for local candidates; 5% open to non-local candidates.

- Engineering degrees awarded under Distance Mode through study centres of State Universities outside Andhra Pradesh are explicitly declared NOT legally valid for all AP Power Sector AEE recruitments.
- APGENCO conducts a separate examination for Mechanical and Electronics branches; all other disciplines are covered under the Common Recruitment Examination.
