Selection Procedure

Stage-I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Objective type questions covering relevant subjects, Arithmetic, Mental Ability & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General English (varies by post).
- Total 100 marks; Duration: 3 hours (3 hours 60 minutes for VH/OH candidates with specified disabilities).
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer (for most posts); 1/4 mark for LDC, Forest Guard, Steno Grade-II, Store Keeper, Library Information Assistant, MTS.
- Minimum qualifying marks: Gen/EWS – 50; SC/ST/OBC – 40; PH(Gen & EWS) – 45; PH(SC, ST & OBC) – 40 (for most posts); Gen/EWS – 40; SC/ST – 33; OBC – 40; PH – 33 (for LDC/Forest Guard/Steno/Store Keeper/Library/MTS).
Stage-II: Descriptive Test (Qualifying)
- Short Essay (~300 words) and a Letter/Application (one in Hindi, one in English).
- Maximum Marks: 50 (25+25); Duration: 45 minutes.
