Selection Procedure

Stage I – Written Examination (100 Marks):
Written Examination will be of 2 hours duration (Objective Type Multiple Choices) on OMR sheet. Questions will be on English Proficiency, General Knowledge, General Aptitude and Reasoning.

Stage II – Interview/Viva Voce (20 Marks):
Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates against 1 post) on the basis of merit in the written examination will be called for Interview/Viva-voce and documents verification. A candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks i.e. 12 out of 20 marks in the Interview/Viva-voce to be considered qualified.

Final Selection:
Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in the written examination and Interview/Viva-Voce. In case of a tie, the candidate with more marks in the written examination will get preference. If marks in the written examination are also equal, the candidate senior in age will get preference.

The Gauhati High Court reserves the right to fix/alter the cut off marks of the written examination/viva-voce.
