  • Selection will be based on TEQ (Teachers Eligibility Qualification) Regulations – 2025 of National Medical Commission (NMC) including prevailing amendments.
  • Assistant Professor: Marks obtained in MD/MS/DNB PG Degree will be considered. (If marks are not awarded in qualifying exam, 50% of marks will be considered.)
  • Tutor & Junior Resident: Marks obtained in MBBS will be considered. (If marks are not awarded, 50% of marks will be considered.)
  • Professor & Associate Professor: Duration of teaching experience in that cadre will be considered for selection criteria.
  • DNB candidates will be selected as per the latest TEQ Regulations – 2025 of NMC.
  • Selection of candidates will be nationwide. First preference is given to local candidates; if local candidates are not available, candidates from other states will be considered.
  • Candidates already working in any other Medical Colleges of Telangana on contract basis in the same cadre are NOT eligible to apply.
  • The decision of the selection committee is final and binding.

  • Nature of Appointment: Contract basis, purely temporary, up to 31.03.2027 or till actual need ceases or till regular posts are filled up, whichever is earlier.
  • Leave: Selected faculty will be eligible for 15 days leave in a calendar year on cumulative basis.
  • Bond: Selected candidates must submit a bond on Rs. 100 stamp paper duly notarized to the Director, GMC, Mahabubnagar. If any candidate breaks the bond, he/she has to pay 3 months’ salary.
  • Notice Period: If any selected candidate wishes to terminate the contract, he/she must give 01 month prior notice.
  • NOC: Any candidate already working in other Government Medical College in Telangana state must get NOC from that college at the time of interview and produce relieving order at the time of joining.
  • Termination: The contract is liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason.
  • Relieving Order: Selected candidates must submit the relieving order from their previous institute; failing which their selection will stand cancelled.
  • Registration: Outside state candidates must get their qualification registered from Telangana State Medical Council within one week of selection for appointment confirmation.
  • SR Ship Completion: Those who are to complete SR Ship in the 1st week of December 2026 are eligible if qualified candidates are not available.
  • Remuneration: As per G.O. Rt. No. 1276 Finance (HRM-VII) Department, Dated: 16.07.2026. Remuneration is all-inclusive and subject to deduction of tax at source and/or any other statutory deductions.
  • Vacancy Note: The vacancy position may be decreased or increased in accordance with orders of Telangana Govt.
