Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

  1. Online Written Examination (Computer Based Test – CBT):
    • Duration: 2 Hours
    • Subject 1: General Knowledge – 50 Objective questions × 1 mark = 50 marks
    • Subject 2: English Composition – 50 Objective questions × 1 mark = 20 marks (Objective) + 30 marks (Subjective: Essay 10 marks, Letter 5 marks, Precis 5 marks, Translation Hindi to English 10 marks)
    • Total Marks: 100
    • Qualifying Marks: 33% in each subject; minimum 40% aggregate in both subjects.
    • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for every wrong answer in MCQs.
    • Subjective English Composition checked only for candidates scoring 33% or more in General Knowledge.
    • If exam held in multiple shifts, normalization of objective scores using Standard Deviation Method.
  2. Answer Key & Objections: Provisional Answer Key published on website; candidates can raise objections at Rs. 25/- per objection (non-refundable); cross-objections also allowed.
  3. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) – Qualifying Nature Only:
    • Part-I: Spread Sheet Test – 10 marks, 10 minutes duration; qualifying marks: 40% (4 or more marks).
    • Part-II: Computer Typing Test in English at 30 W.P.M. (checked only if Part-I qualified).
    • Marks of CPT not counted in final merit.
    • PwBD candidates (BA category or with physical limitation) may apply for exemption from CPT with relevant certificates within 15 days of CBT result.
  4. Checking of Original Testimonials/Interaction: Candidates qualifying both CBT and CPT will be called for document verification.
  5. Final Merit List: Prepared strictly on the basis of marks in CBT. In case of tie, elder candidate ranked higher; if same date of birth, alphabetical order (A-Z) applied.

  5. Upload a real-time photograph (captured via inbuilt/web camera), scanned recent passport size photograph (not more than one month old, against white background), and scanned signature.
  6. Pay the application fee online through internet banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
