Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Screening: All hard copies of online applications received by the prescribed last date shall be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee for determining eligibility. Incomplete applications or applications without supporting documents shall be summarily rejected.
- Academic Score Component: Shortlisting for interview shall be based on the Academic Score Component as specified in Appendix II, Table 3-A (Tally Sheet) (as amended) of UGC Regulations, 2018.
- Shortlisting Criteria:
- For one vacancy: maximum 25 candidates shall be invited for interview.
- For every additional vacancy: maximum 15 additional eligible candidates shall be invited.
- Interview shall be held if at least 5 eligible applications are received and 3 shortlisted candidates report for interview.
- In case of more than one vacancy: interview held if at least 7 eligible applications received and at least 5 shortlisted candidates report.
- Interview: Final selection shall be based on performance in the interview as per marks matrix/recommendations of the Selection Committee.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must obtain minimum 50% marks in interview components (45% for reserved category candidates) for consideration of selection in order of merit.
- Vertical reservation shall be applicable as per roster.
- The Vice-Chancellor may vary the criteria for calling for interview in case of reserved categories or subjects with paucity of qualified candidates.
