Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Stage-I: Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination – Objective Type, 2 Papers (General Studies + Stream Specific), Total 400 Marks. Marks counted in final merit.
Stage-II: Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination – Descriptive/Conventional Type, 3 Papers per stream, Total 600 Marks. Marks counted in final merit. To be held on 19th & 20th June 2027.
Stage-III: Personality Test/Interview – 200 Marks (no minimum qualifying marks). Candidates summoned approximately twice the number of vacancies.

Negative Marking: One-third (1/3) of marks deducted for each wrong answer in Objective Type papers. No penalty for unattempted questions.
