- Eligibility: Candidates who passed their qualifying degree/diploma during 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025 and hailing from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry are eligible.
- Not Eligible: Candidates with Distance Education / Correspondence degrees, Post Graduates (PG), or Open University degrees are NOT eligible.
- Previous Training: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
- Reservation: Guidelines under the Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be followed. BC/MBC candidates claiming OBC (Non-creamy layer) must bring OBC(NCL) certificate in the approved format.
- Physical Standards: As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 and amendments thereof.
- Travel Expenses: No TA/DA will be paid for attending certificate verification.
- Boarding/Lodging: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
- Employment Obligation: Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai has no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices, nor can an apprentice claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
- Marks Entry: Candidates must compulsorily enter percentage of marks in the column ‘% of marks / CGPAx10’ in the NATS portal. If % of marks is not furnished, candidature will not be considered.
