Selection Procedure:

  • Screening: Applications will be screened based on Academic and Research Performance as per Table 1 (Part A & B). A written test may be conducted for Assistant Professor candidates for shortlisting.
  • Exemption from Written Test (Assistant Professor): Candidates with a Ph.D. in the relevant branch are exempted if they have at least one publication in Category-I, OR at least two publications in Category-II, OR at least five publications in Category-II and Category-III combined.
  • Seminar/Presentation: Shortlisted candidates must make a presentation before a departmental committee (faculty members/students) prior to the personal interview. Grading is given as ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, or ‘D’.
  • Personal Interview: Final selection is based on performance in the interview before the duly-constituted Selection Committee.
  • Overall Weightage: 50% weightage on academic/research credentials (Table 1 Part A & B) and 50% weightage on interview performance (including teaching aptitude feedback).
  • Normally, 10 candidates are called for the first post and 5 candidates for each subsequent post for interview.
