Selection Procedure:

For Technician-B / Draughtsman-B / Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant-A:

Initial Screening: Based on academic performance and other parameters provided in the online application. Only screened-in candidates will be called for Written Test/CBT.
Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT): 80 MCQs in 1.5 hours (+1 mark for correct, -0.33 for incorrect). Curriculum-based syllabus. Conducted in Bengaluru or various cities across India. Candidates may opt for Hindi or English medium.
Shortlisting for Skill Test: Candidates shortlisted in 1:5 ratio (minimum 10 candidates) based on Written Test/CBT performance.
Skill Test: Conducted for 100 marks in Bengaluru only. Purely qualifying (go-no-go) in nature. Pass marks: 50/100 for Unreserved; 40/100 for Reserved (where post is reserved).
Final Selection: Based on marks obtained in Written Test/CBT from among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.
Tie-breaking: Academic scores of essential qualification; for Technician-B/Draughtsman-B, candidates with valid NAC score get preference.

Pass Criteria for Written Test/CBT:

Unreserved Candidates: 32/80 marks
Reserved Candidates (where post is reserved): 24/80 marks

For Cook-A:

Written Test / CBT: 60 MCQs in 1.5 hours (+1 & -0.33 marking). Curriculum-based.
Shortlisting for Skill Test: 1:5 ratio with minimum 10 candidates.
Skill Test: Qualifying nature; conducted for 100 marks; candidates must secure 60 marks to qualify. No relaxation in marks for any category.
Final Selection: Based on Written Test/CBT marks from among Skill Test qualifiers.

Posting Location: Selected candidates may be posted at ISTRAC/MCF facilities as indicated. Appointment carries liability to be posted anywhere in India under Department of Space/ISRO.
Nature of Posts: Temporary but likely to continue.
Number of Vacancies: Provisional and may vary based on actual requirements.
Shift Duty: Appointees may be required to work in round-the-clock shifts.

Travelling Allowance (TA): Outstation candidates shortlisted for Skill Test will be paid to-and-fro Second Class Sleeper Railway fare (shortest route) or non-AC bus fare, whichever is less, on production of proof of journey. TA paid only after successful document verification.
EWS Reservation: Applicable for persons not covered under SC/ST/OBC reservation with gross annual family income below ₹8 lakh and not owning specified assets. Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26 (valid for FY 2026-27) required at Skill Test.
PwBD: Minimum 40% disability required for reservation benefits. Original Disability Certificate from Medical Board (minimum 3 members) required at Written Test/CBT (if opting for scribe/extra time) and Skill Test.
