  • Fellowship Duration: Initially for TWO YEARS, extendable based on work assessment and project requirements. Maximum total engagement (JRF + SRF) shall not exceed FIVE YEARS.
  • PhD Encouragement: JRFs with aptitude for research will be encouraged to pursue Ph.D. with external university registration.
  • No Regular Employment Right: The JRF position does not confer any claim or right for regular appointment in URSC or any ISRO/DOS Centre.
  • Stipend: JRF: ₹37,000/month; SRF: ₹42,000/month. HRA at prescribed rates if hostel not provided. Medical benefits for self as per extant rules. No DA will be paid.
  • Leave: JRFs are eligible only for casual leave. Maternity leave as per Government of India instructions for female JRFs.
  • Canteen: JRFs are eligible for subsidised canteen facilities.

  • ODL Candidates: Candidates who pursued professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are NOT eligible to apply.
