- Qualification: M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics) with consistently good academic records (Class-X onwards with at least 60%) from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates slated to complete M.Sc. in 2025-26 are also eligible provided final degree is available at the time of interview. Desirable: Proficiency in computer applications.

Selection Procedure

Other Important Information
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- All posts carry allowances such as DA, HRA, Transport Allowance etc., besides benefits like LTC, medical reimbursement as per IUAC Rules.
- Initial appointment of Scientist-C will be as Scientist Trainee; on successful completion of one-year training, the trainee will be absorbed as Scientist-C in Level-10. Stipend of Rs. 55,000/- will be paid during training.
- Age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years (reserved posts only); OBC – 3 years (reserved posts only); PWD (min. 40% disability) – 10 years; Ex-servicemen – Length of Military Service + 3 years; Central/State Govt./Autonomous Body employees with 3 years regular service – 5 years.
- IUAC employees: 5 years relaxation for Group-A posts; for Group-B posts, employees up to 40 years (45 years for SC/ST) can apply.
- Number of vacancies is provisional and may change. 02 vacancies for Scientist-C are on anticipated basis and 01 is on lien basis.
- Candidates applying for OBC (NCL) reserved posts must enclose a valid OBC (NCL) certificate in GoI prescribed format.
- EWS candidates must possess a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
- PwD candidates must upload UDID/proof of disability mentioning percentage of disability.
- Government employees must apply through proper channel and produce NOC, vigilance clearance, and last five years’ ACR/APAR at the time of test/interview.
- The selected candidate will be required to execute a service bond to serve IUAC for at least three years.
- Selected candidates will undergo medical examination prior to joining.
- Appointment is subject to police verification.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test.
- Syllabus will be at par with the essential qualification required for the post and will be made available on the IUAC website in due course.
