- The selection for all advertised posts shall be made on the basis of merit obtained in the Written/OMR Examination only.

- Eligibility: Only ‘Migrants’ as defined in SRO 412 of 2009 or ‘Kashmiri Pandits’ as defined in SRO 425 of 2017 are eligible to apply for these posts.
- Domicile: Candidates must be Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before the cut-off date (08.09.2026).
- Reservation: Reservation is applicable as per Category-wise break-up conveyed by the Indenting Department and/or Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules. If candidates are not available from any reserved category (other than RBA), posts may be filled from Open Merit category.
- Horizontal Reservation: Applicable for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per extant rules. ESM horizontal reservation is applicable for posts carrying pay up to Level-6E (35900-113500).
- PwBD Facility: Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities may avail facility of Scribe and/or compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination, subject to production of valid disability certificate and required undertakings.
- Negative Marking: One-fourth (1/4) of marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices, smart watches, AI-enabled devices, cameras, Bluetooth devices, etc. are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
- Multiple Applications: Only one online application per Item Number is allowed. In case of multiple applications, the latest application will be considered. Appearing more than once for the same Item No. will result in cancellation of candidature.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce all original documents at the time of DV. Failure to appear or produce documents will result in non-consideration for selection.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid for participation in written test or document verification.
