- Nature of Employment: Probation period of two years from joining in Group B (7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-8, Grade Pay Rs. 4800/-). Confirmation after two years based on ‘Very Good’ grade in APAR, DAR/Vigilance clearance, and confirmation interview.
- Promotion: Promoted to Group A (7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-10, Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-) on completion of minimum two years’ service as probationer with ‘Very Good’ grade in APAR for two years.
- Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond to complete prescribed training and probation (2 years) and serve KRCL for at least 3 years thereafter. Failure to do so will require refund of all training/probation costs with 12.5% interest.
- Superannuation: Age of superannuation is 60 years. Retirement benefits applicable as per rules on date of superannuation.
- Posting: Selected candidates can be posted and transferred anywhere in KRCL’s area of operation including project sites. No right of transfer to Zonal Railways or other Railway establishments.
- Medical Standards: Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 or 6/6, 6/12 with or without glasses (power not exceeding +4D). Near Vision: SN6 with or without glasses. Binocular Vision, Night Vision, Colour Vision and Field of Vision should be normal. Contact lenses not allowed. Minimum height: Male 152 cm, Female 150 cm. BP not more than 160/100, normal ECG, Chest X-Ray, no chronic progressive disorders, normal BMI.
- Fee Refund: Examination fee of Rs. 1000/- is refundable (deducting bank charges) to SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Female/Minorities/EBC candidates who appear in the selection process. No refund for rejected/incomplete applications.
- KRCL Employees: Serving KRCL employees with minimum 3 years of regular service are eligible to apply. Upper age limit relaxed up to 45 years (UR), 48 years (OBC-NCL), 50 years (ST) as on 01/08/2026. Selection subject to D&AR and Vigilance clearance.
- Tie-breaking: If two or more candidates secure the same marks, the older candidate gets higher merit. If age is also the same, alphabetical order (A to Z) of name is used.
- Jurisdiction: Any legal issues arising from this notification shall fall within the jurisdiction of the Hon’ble High Court of Mumbai.
