- Main Examination (Written – Descriptive Type): Qualifying Papers: Kannada (150 marks, 2 hrs) and English (150 marks, 2 hrs) – minimum 35% (52.5 marks) required to qualify. Compulsory Papers: Essay (250 marks), General Studies-1 (250 marks), General Studies-2 (250 marks), General Studies-3 (250 marks), General Studies-4 (250 marks). Total: 1250 marks.
- Personality Test (Interview): 25 marks. Candidates shortlisted at 1:3 ratio based on Main Examination marks.
