Other Important Information
- Post Preference: Option for post preference must be mandatorily indicated at the time of application. Option once exercised shall be final.
- Job Description: Assistant and UDC deal mainly with clerical work including opening, maintenance, custody and putting up of files to Section Officer; dealing with receipts; going through and moving files. In an electronic environment, metadata may be used for such purposes.
- Reservations: 1 post reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, mental illness) and 1 post for Ex-Servicemen under Assistant Grade (DP&AR). Various UDC posts also have reservations for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (blindness/low vision, deaf and hard of hearing).
- Ex-Servicemen: Candidates who have already availed the Ex-Servicemen quota cannot re-avail it unless relevant rules expressly provide for the same.
- Government Servants: Must apply through proper channel.
- Disqualifications: Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify candidature. Incomplete/incorrect applications may be rejected. Failure to submit supporting documents within stipulated time will result in disqualification.
- Mizo Language Proficiency: Candidates who studied Mizo subject in Class-X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, are exempted from the qualifying test.
