Important Information:
- Organization: NESAC is an autonomous body under the Department of Space, Government of India, located at Umiam, Meghalaya (85 km from Guwahati Railway Station, 18 km from Shillong).
- Nature of Posts: All positions are purely temporary on project basis. No provision for regularization.
- Tenure: Research Scientist: Initially 1 year, extendable up to maximum 3 years or co-terminus with project. JRF: Initially 1 year, extendable up to maximum 5 years or project duration. Project Associate-I: Initially 1 year, extendable up to maximum 5 years.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years; Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities: as per Government of India orders.
- Eligibility Criteria: M.E./M.Tech: Minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.5/10. B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc: Minimum 65% aggregate or CGPA 6.84/10. Rounding off of marks/CGPA is not allowed.
- JRF Qualifying Tests: Candidates must have qualified one of: CSIR-UGC NET, GATE (MHRD/MoE), JAM (MHRD/MoE), JEST/JGEEBILS (Dept. of Atomic Energy), or AICE (ICAR).
- Posting Location: NESAC, Umiam, Meghalaya and Cherrapunjee, Meghalaya. May also be deputed anywhere in India at Director’s discretion.
- JRF PhD Encouragement: Selected JRFs are encouraged to register for Ph.D. from recognized universities; no leave admissible for Ph.D. work.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance/daily allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
- Only Indian Nationals need to apply.
- Women candidates are encouraged to apply.
- In case of any discrepancy between English and Hindi versions, the English version will be considered final.
