Selection Procedure

- Engagement of Graduate and Technician Apprentices will be made purely on merit basis of aggregate marks obtained in the Graduate/Diploma examination respectively.
- Preference will be given to children of VPA Employees (children of deceased employees / medically invalidated & superannuated employees / serving employees).
- A final rank list will be prepared according to categories (General / SC / ST / OBC) after certificate verification by ADT BOAT (SR) and Officials of ICAR-NRC for Banana, Tiruchirappalli.
- Interview schedule will be communicated to eligible shortlisted candidates through their registered mobile number and email address only.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending certificate verification.

- Duration of Training: One year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973.
- Previous Training/Experience: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, or who have one year or more of experience, are NOT eligible to apply.
- Reservation: SC/ST/OBC/PWD reservation will be followed as per Apprentices Act guidelines. Candidates claiming reservation must provide certificates in the prescribed government format; otherwise, they will be considered under the General category.
- No Employment Obligation: Upon completion of the apprenticeship, ICAR-NRCB shall have no obligation to offer employment, nor can an apprentice claim employment rights on the basis of completion of training.
- No Boarding/Lodging: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
- Canvassing: Any canvassing or personal follow-up will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
- Mandatory NATS Registration: Candidates must register on the NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in or www.nats.education.gov.in) before applying.
