- Trial (Physical/Game Skill Test): All eligible candidates will be called for a trial. Only candidates securing 25 or more marks out of 40 (Game Skill, Physical Fitness, and Coach’s Observation) will be declared FIT and assessed for the next stage. Candidates declared NOT FIT will not be assessed further.

- Recruitment is under Sports Quota through Open Advertisement for the year 2026-2027.
- Only candidates with the required sports qualifications as per the minimum sports norms can apply.
- No age relaxation (upper or lower) is permissible for recruitment through Open Advertisement.
- No relaxation in minimum educational qualification is permissible for Open Advertisement recruitment.
- No post is exclusively reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS. However, candidates from these communities must enclose a self-attested photocopy of their caste certificate.
- Candidates applying for more than one game/event must pay separate fees and submit all necessary documents for each discipline.
- Sports achievements must be from 01.04.2024 onwards (current and/or immediate preceding 02 years) for validity.
- The sportspersons recruited will have to sign a service bond for a period of five years.
- Recruited sportspersons will undergo a probation period of two years after completion of training.
- Training period for Sports Quota appointees is 02 years, unless they possess ITI qualification in the relevant trade (in which case it is 06 months).
- Sportspersons having sports norms for a higher level may apply for lower level vacancies but cannot claim higher level after joining Railways on the basis of prior sports achievements.
- No TA/DA/Accommodation will be provided for appearing in selection trials/interview. Applicants must bring their own kit and may be required to stay for 2-3 days during trials.
- Applications must be submitted offline only. Online applications will not be accepted.
- Cheque, Draft & Postal Order will not be accepted for fee payment; only bank transfer is accepted.
