Other Important Information
- All posts are tenable at TIFR, Colaba, Mumbai.
- Selected candidates are liable to be transferred to other Centers/Field Stations of the Institute.
- Post No. 30 (Project Administrative Assistant) is temporary and non-pensionable; may be renewed each year up to a total of three years based on performance. No claim for permanent/temporary appointment after project period.
- Posts at Sr. Nos. 1 to 7 and 12 to 17 are initially for three years (including one year probation). Continuation beyond three years is subject to comprehensive review and performance appraisal. After successful review, appointment continues till superannuation age of 60.
- Candidates for posts Sr. Nos. 12 to 17 and 22 to 29 will be required to work on Saturdays/Sundays and holidays, and in shift duties.
- Age is reckoned as on the closing date of application (July 04, 2026). Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.
- Selected candidates for posts Sr. Nos. 1 to 29 will be governed by the National Pension System (NPS) unless already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules 1972.
- Unreserved posts are open to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates as well.
- EWS candidates should not be covered under SC/ST/OBC reservation schemes.
- Applications are accepted ONLY ONLINE.
- Government/Semi-Government/PSU applicants must submit NOC from competent authority at the time of selection process.

- PwBD candidates applying for unreserved posts must have not less than 40% disability for age relaxation benefit.
- OBC candidates must submit valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate in GOI format (preferably for current financial year or not earlier than one year from closing date).
- EWS candidates must submit valid EWS certificate in GOI format (preferably for current financial year or not earlier than one year from closing date).
- Ex-servicemen/Military/CAPF personnel with 3 years’ experience will be considered for Pay Level 2 for Security Guard post; those with 10+ years may be considered for Pay Level 3.
