  2. One Time Registration (OTR): It’s mandatory for applicants to register at the One Time Registration platform available on the Commission’s website. This step needs to be completed only once in a candidate’s lifetime. Visit the OTR platform and register yourself before proceeding with the examination application.
  3. Filling Online Application: Once registered on the OTR platform, candidates can proceed to fill the online application for the examination.
  4. Already Registered? If the candidate has previously registered on the OTR platform, they can directly proceed to fill the online application for the examination without re-registering.
  5. Year-Round OTR Registration: Candidates can register on the OTR platform at any time throughout the year.

UPSC CDA I 2024 Admit Card Detail

Important Application and Examination Information:

  • Application Deadline for UPSC CDS I 2024: The last date for filling out the Online Applications is January 9th, 2024, until 6:00 PM.

UPSC CDS I 2024 Age Criteria

The following is the age criteria for UPSC CDA I exam 2024.

Course Age Eligibility
Indian Military Academy (IMA) 20 to 24 years as of January 1st, 2025 (Born between January 2nd, 2001, and January 1st, 2005). Upper age limit relaxable to 26 years for candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) (Born between January 2nd, 1999, and January 1st, 2005). Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried.
Indian Naval Academy (INA) Same as IMA
Air Force Academy (AFA)
  • General Eligibility (for most candidates):
    • Age: 20 to 24 years as of January 1st, 2025.
    • Birth Date Range: Born not earlier than January 2nd, 2001, and not later than January 1st, 2005.
  • Special Age Relaxation for Commercial Pilot Licence Holders:
    • Upper Age Limit: Candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) have relaxation up to 26 years.
    • Eligibility: Born not earlier than January 2nd, 1999, and not later than January 1st, 2005, for eligibility under this category.
  • Note: Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not
    permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to
    apply but during training period they will neither be provided married
    accommodation nor can they live with family out of the premises.
Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) – Men Unmarried male candidates born between January 2nd, 2000, and January 1st, 2006 are eligible.
Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) – Women Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born between January 2nd, 2000, and January 1st, 2006. Male divorcee/widower candidates are not eligible for IMA/INA/AFA/OTA courses.

UPSC CDS I 2024 Qualification Criteria

  • For Indian Military Academy (I.M.A.) and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai:Qualification: A degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
  • For Indian Naval Academy:
    • Qualification: A degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
  • For Air Force Academy:
    • Qualification:
      • A degree from a recognized University, with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, OR
      • Bachelor of Engineering.

It’s important to note that candidates who prioritize the Army, Navy, or Air Force as their first choice need to provide proof of graduation or provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview at the SSB.

UPSC CDS I 2024 Exam Fee Detail

Fee Payment:

  • Fee Amount: Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only)
  • Exempted Candidates: Female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) are exempt from paying the fee.

Payment Modes:

Candidates (except exempted categories) can pay the fee through the following modes:

  1. Cash Payment:
    • Pay by cash at any branch of SBI by printing the system-generated Pay-in-slip during Part-II registration. Deposit the fee at the SBI counter on the next working day after generating the slip.
  2. Online Payment:
    • Use Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or internet banking facility of any bank.

Important Notes:

  1. Last Date for Cash Payment: “Pay by Cash” option will be deactivated one day before the closing date. Applicants generating the Pay-in-slip before deactivation can pay at an SBI branch during banking hours on the closing date.
  2. No Refund Policy: Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances or held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
  3. Payment Validation: Applications submitted without the prescribed fee/mode (unless fee remission is claimed) will be rejected.
  4. Fictitious Payment Cases: Candidates with payment details not received from the bank will be treated as fictitious payment cases. They’ll have to submit proof of fee payment within 10 days of notification by the Commission to revive their applications.
  5. Exemption Clarification: Female candidates and SC/ST candidates are exempt from the fee. OBC candidates are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
