Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and possess a valid scorecard issued by UPSSSC.
- Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done based on the normalized score of PET-2025 on merit basis.
- Candidates with zero or negative (absolute or normalized) score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
- The Main Examination consists of one paper with 100 objective/multiple-choice questions to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes).
- Each question carries 1 mark. Negative marking of 25% (0.25 marks) per wrong answer is applicable.
- The exam paper is divided into 3 parts: Part-1 (Technical/Electrical Engineering – 65 questions), Part-2 (Computer & IT – 15 questions), Part-3 (General Knowledge of UP – 20 questions).
- Final selection is based on the written examination merit as per UP Group ‘C’ Direct Recruitment Rules 2015 and related government orders.
- No interview is conducted (as per UP Lower Level Posts Direct Recruitment Rules 2017).

- Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number via OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email.
- Verify personal details auto-populated from PET-2025 registration (name, category, date of birth, gender, etc.).
- Select the post(s) you wish to apply for and fill in educational qualification details (board/university name, year of passing, certificate/roll number, marks, etc.).
- Fill in preference order for selected posts and provide details of preferential qualifications (if any).

- Candidates under ‘Under Investigation (UI)’ or ‘Provisional’ status in PET-2025 results are provisionally allowed to apply, subject to final decision by the Commission.
- Candidates must possess all required qualifications by the last date of application (27-11-2026).
- Candidates seeking reservation/age relaxation must obtain relevant caste/category certificates issued by competent authority on or before the last date of application.
- EWS candidates must possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 27-11-2026, based on income of FY 2025-26 and valid for FY 2026-27.
- Divyang (PwD) candidates must update their disability category/sub-category in the application form as per latest Government Orders.
- 4% horizontal reservation is available for Divyang candidates in Group A, B, C, and D posts as per UP Government orders.
