- Visva-Bharati is an Institution of National Importance established under the Visva-Bharati Act 1951 (Central Act No. XXIX of 1951).
- Recruitment is as per UGC Guidelines 2018 and subsequent amendments.
- Candidates appointed will be governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) unless specifically permitted under GPF-cum-Gratuity Scheme.
- A relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed at Bachelor’s and Master’s level for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled candidates.
- A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided to Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September 1991.
- OBC (NCL) certificate must be of the Current Financial Year (2025-2026). Certificates issued before the current financial year will not be accepted.
- EWS certificate must be valid for the Current Financial Year and issued on or before the last date of application.
- PWD candidates must have a minimum of 40% disability; valid Disability Certificate must be uploaded.
- Candidates can apply for more than one post; separate application fee must be paid for each post.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending written test/interview.
- Appointees shall reside within the territorial jurisdiction of the University as declared in Visva-Bharati Act, 1951.
