Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed minimum qualification (ITI/Diploma) and other applicable criteria for the relevant trade.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee. Interview call letters will be sent at least 21 days prior to the interview date via Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier / Email.
- The Selection Committee will evaluate candidates based on their qualifications, technical knowledge, and performance in the interview.
- The Selection Committee will prepare a Common Merit List and recommend final selections for approval by the competent authority.
- Selected candidates will be informed via Email / Speed Post / Courier and the list will also be published on the ALIMCO website.
- Reservation for apprentices will be as per the provisions of Section 5 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. 2 seats are reserved for PwBD candidates.
- The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final and binding.

Other Important Information
- Training Duration: One year under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
- Training Timing: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (as per Corporation working hours).
- Stipend: Monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid.
- No Boarding/Lodging: No boarding or lodging expenses will be provided.
- No Employment Guarantee: ALIMCO is not obligated to provide regular employment after completion of apprenticeship training. The apprenticeship contract will be terminated upon completion of the training period.
- Eligibility Restrictions: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 are NOT eligible. Candidates with 1 year or more of work experience are NOT eligible.
- Diploma Candidates: Only candidates who passed their Diploma in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible (as per BOAT guidelines).
- Portal Registration Mandatory: ITI candidates must register at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and Diploma candidates at www.nats.education.gov.in. Registration number must be mentioned in the application form; otherwise the application will be invalid.
- PAN Card: Candidates must possess a PAN Card issued by the Income Tax Department, Government of India.
- Documents Required at Verification: High School marksheet, Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PH), ITI semester-wise marksheets/consolidated marksheet, Provisional Trade Certificate, Aadhar Card.
- Character & Medical Certificate: Selected candidates must submit a Character Certificate (from Police Commissioner/SSP/SP as per residential address) and Medical Certificate (from Chief Medical Officer of District Hospital).
- Incomplete Applications: Incomplete applications or applications without candidate’s signature will be rejected.
