Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Screening Test (if applicable): 100 marks, 100 multiple choice objective type questions, duration 2 hours. Candidates securing 40% and above will be shortlisted in ratio 1:10 of available vacancies for Written Examination. Marks in Screening Test are NOT counted for final merit.
- Written Examination: Three papers, each carrying 100 marks, duration 3 hours each.
- Paper-I: Constitution and Civil Law (100 marks)
- Paper-II: Criminal Law (100 marks)
- Paper-III: English – Translation and Essay Writing (100 marks; Part-I: 40 marks – Translation English to Telugu and Telugu to English; Part-II: 60 marks – Essay writing on Legal Subjects). Candidates must secure 40% in each part of Paper-III. Marks of Paper-III are NOT counted for eligibility for Viva Voce or final selection.
- Minimum Marks for Viva Voce Eligibility: Not less than 55% in Paper-I and Paper-II individually, and not less than 60% in aggregate in Written Examination (Paper-I and Paper-II).
- Viva Voce: 50 marks. Candidates called in ratio 1:3 of available vacancies. Absence from Viva Voce leads to disqualification.
- Final Selection: Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in Written Examination and Viva Voce. In case of tie: elder in age preferred; if age tie, higher educational qualification preferred; if still tied, highest marks in prescribed educational qualification preferred.
