Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Selection is based on a total of 100 points (No Interview).
- Academic Marks (75 points): Maximum 75% weightage for percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying PG examination. CGPA/Grade Points will be converted to percentage as per Govt. Circular Memo No.01/HM&FW/2022, dated 06.09.2022. Candidates who do not upload AYUSH PG Marks Memo will be awarded Zero marks and treated as NOT ELIGIBLE.
- Service Experience (10 points): Maximum 10 points for each completed year of service after completion of Post Graduation along with requisite qualification.
- Contract Service Weightage (15 points):
- @ 5.0 Marks per Six Months for COVID-19 Duties (0.83 Marks per completed month)
- @ 2.5 Marks per Six Months for service in Tribal Area
- @ 2.0 Marks per Six Months for service in Rural Area
- @ 1.0 Marks per Six Months for service in Urban Area
- No weightage for service less than six months; separate spells cannot be clubbed.
- COVID-19 weightage requires appointment orders, contract service certificate, and bank statements showing monthly remuneration.
- Points for contract service are awarded only for service in state government hospitals/institutions/programmes as per certificates issued by competent authority.
- Weightage for contract service is given only for service in the same category of post applied for.
- Service certificates must be in the format specified at Annexure IV.
- Date of notification (31.03.2026) is the cut-off date for calculating weightage marks.
- Tie-breaking: If two or more applicants score equal marks, the candidate with higher age will be assigned a better/higher rank.

- Mode of Appointment: Contract basis against regular sanctioned posts for a period of one year or until regular posts are filled, whichever is earlier.
- Reservation: Rule of Reservation applicable as per State Government norms. Applicants from states other than Andhra Pradesh are not entitled to any reservation.
- Local Candidature: Only candidates local to Andhra Pradesh are eligible for posts reserved for local category. Candidates must have studied from Class 4 to Class 10 in Andhra Pradesh. Residence certificate from MRO/Tahsildar must mention G.O.No.132 GAD Dt.13-6-2016 & G.O.Ms.No.133 GAD Dt.13.06.2016.
- Community Certificate: SC candidates must produce Community Certificate (SC-I, SC-II, SC-III) issued by competent authority of Government of Andhra Pradesh as per G.O.Ms.No.46 and G.O.Ms.No.7.
- Equivalent Qualification: Claims of equivalent qualification will be referred to an Expert Committee constituted by APMSRB for decision.
- Ayurveda Note: In Ayurveda, there are no allied subjects; only PG in the concerned subject is eligible.
- Homoeopathy Allied Subjects: Allied subjects are permitted for certain Homoeopathy departments as specified in the notification (e.g., Physiology, Pathology & Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Surgery, Obs & Gyn, Community Medicine, Anatomy accept any PG in Materia Medica/Organon/Repertory/Pharmacy/Practice of Medicine).
