Selection Procedure

- Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) / Tablet Based Test (TBT) / Offline (OMR) based examination.
- Senior Computer Instructor Exam Date: 22-08-2026
- Basic Computer Instructor Exam Date: 23-08-2026
- The examination carries 200 marks divided into two papers of 100 marks each.
- Paper-I (100 marks, 2 hours): Art & Culture, History, Geography, General Science and Current Affairs of Rajasthan; General Ability (Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Mental Ability, Basic Numeracy, Data Interpretation).
- Paper-II (100 marks, 2 hours): Pedagogy; Mental Ability; Fundamentals of Computer; Programming Fundamentals (C, C++, Java, DotNet, AI, ML, Python, Blockchain); OOP using C++ and Java; Data Structures and Algorithms; Digital Logic Systems; Computer Organization and Architecture; Operating Systems; DBMS; Software Engineering; Data and Computer Networks; Network Security; Basics of Communication; Web Development (for Senior Computer Instructor). For Basic Computer Instructor: similar but with introductory/foundational level topics.
- Negative Marking: 1/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST candidates).
- If the exam is conducted in more than one phase/shift, normalization will be applied.
- Allocation of departments (Secondary Education / Sanskrit Education) will be done on the basis of merit-cum-priority filled by candidates in the online application.

- Candidates must log in via SSO Portal at http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and select the Recruitment Portal under Citizen Apps (G2C).
- If OTR (One Time Registration) fee has not been paid, complete OTR first by selecting your category (Unreserved/Reserved) and pay the prescribed registration fee via authorized e-Mitra kiosk or Jan Suvidha Kendra.
- After OTR, candidates can apply through their SSO ID on the Recruitment Portal by clicking ‘Apply Now’.
- Fill in all required details carefully including educational qualifications, category, disability status, home state, and visible body mark.
- Upload live photo (captured via OTR webcam), scanned signature, and thumb impression as per guidelines.
- Submit the online application form before 23-06-2026 at 23:59 hours.

- Total Vacancies: 3951 posts (Senior Computer Instructor: 322; Basic Computer Instructor: 3629) across Secondary Education and Sanskrit Education Departments.
- Scheduled Area / Non-Scheduled Area: Vacancies are divided into Scheduled Area (Anusuchit Kshetra) and Non-Scheduled Area (Gair Anusuchit Kshetra). Only local residents of Rajasthan’s Scheduled Area can apply for Scheduled Area posts.
- Reservation: Horizontal reservation for Women (30%), Ex-Servicemen (12.5%), Outstanding Sports Persons (2%), and PwD (4%) as per applicable rules. Category-wise reservation: SC 16%, ST 12%, OBC 21%, MBC 5%, EWS 10%.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS male candidates (Rajasthan domicile); 5 years for General category women; 10 years for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS women (Rajasthan domicile); 15 years for Ex-Servicemen; 5 years for PwD (benchmark disability) in addition to category relaxation; No upper age limit for widows and divorced women (subject to retirement age). Additional 3 years relaxation for Secondary Education Dept. posts (as no recruitment was done in 2022 cycle).
- OTR Fee Block Policy: If a candidate is absent in two exams in a financial year, their OTR facility will be blocked. Reactivation requires penalty fee of Rs. 750/- (first time) and Rs. 1500/- (second time).
- Application Modification: Candidates can modify their online application during the application period and up to 3 days after the closing date (fee Rs. 300/-). A second opportunity for modification (excluding name, DOB, photo, signature, thumb impression, and educational qualification) is available for 7 days after the exam.
- Probation Period: All directly recruited persons will be on probation for 2 years. During probation, fixed remuneration (no pay scale, no allowances like HRA, DA, etc.) will be paid as per government orders.
- Marriage Registration: Marriage registration is mandatory for appointment in government service as per government circular dated 22-05-2006.
- Disqualification Conditions: Male candidates with more than one living wife; female candidates married to a man with a living wife; candidates who accepted dowry at marriage; candidates with more than 2 children born on or after 01-06-2002 (with exceptions); candidates debarred by RSSB for malpractice.
- Admit Card: Will be issued online via SSO Login and Recruitment Portal. No admit card will be sent by post.
- Exam Mode: CBT/TBT/OMR based. Each question has 5 options (A, B, C, D, E). Option E must be darkened for unattempted questions. Candidates who leave more than 10% questions without darkening any option will be disqualified.
