For Technical Officer (Group-III):
- Screening: Online applications will be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee which may adopt its own criteria for shortlisting candidates.
- Trade Test (Qualifying): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Trade Test in the relevant/respective trade, which will be qualifying in nature.
- Competitive Written Examination (OMR/CBT – Objective Type MCQ):
- Paper-I (1 hour): Mental Ability Test – 50 questions, 100 marks (2 marks per correct answer, no negative marking). Includes General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Situational Judgement.
- Paper-II (30 minutes): General Awareness – 25 questions, 75 marks (3 marks per correct, -1 per wrong); English Language – 25 questions, 75 marks (3 marks per correct, -1 per wrong). [Evaluated only if minimum threshold in Paper-I is secured]
- Paper-III (90 minutes): Concerned Subject – 100 questions, 300 marks (3 marks per correct, -1 per wrong). [Evaluated only if minimum threshold in Paper-I is secured]
- Final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper-II & Paper-III only.
