Selection Procedure

- Stage 1 – Written Examination (300 Marks): Objective type (MCQ) question paper with 150 questions to be attempted in 3 hours. Negative marking applies (1/3 deduction for wrong answers). The paper consists of:
- Part 1: General Knowledge – 50 questions (100 marks)
- Part 2: Law (Major Acts & Minor Acts) – 100 questions (200 marks)
Minimum qualifying marks: 33% for Unreserved; 23% for Reserved (SC/ST/OBC) categories.
- Stage 2 – Interview/Viva Voce (30 Marks): Candidates shortlisted from the written exam (approximately 3 times the number of vacancies) will be called for interview. No minimum qualifying marks for interview.
- Total: 330 Marks (Exam: 300 + Interview: 30)
- Direct Interview (if applicable): If the Commission decides to conduct only interview based on the number of applications received, the interview will be of 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 33 for Unreserved; 23 for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- Final Merit List: Based on combined marks of written exam and interview in order of merit and category-wise.
