- Eligibility: Candidates who passed their Engineering Degree or Diploma during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026 and hail from Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.
- Previous Training: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing NATS/NAPS apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
- Reservation: Guidelines under the Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be followed. Candidates claiming reservation must provide certificates in the prescribed Government format, failing which they will be considered under ‘General’ category.
- Duration: The Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
- Employment Obligation: Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, CMWSSB has no obligation to offer employment to apprentices, nor can an apprentice claim right for employment on grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
- Boarding/Lodging: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
- Marks Entry: Percentage of marks in the Graduate/Diploma Examination is mandatory. Candidates must compulsorily enter percentage of marks in the column ‘% of marks / CGPAx10’ in the NATS portal. If % of marks is not furnished, candidature will not be considered.
- Canvassing: Canvassing or pressuring through any source will disqualify the candidature and the name will be removed from official records without prior intimation.
- Touts Warning: Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) has not entrusted/authorized any individual or organization to coordinate or liaise their work. Candidates should beware of touts.
