Other Important Information

  • All posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.
  • The engagement shall be on behalf of the sponsoring agency and shall not provide any right/claim for regularization for a permanent post of CSIR.
  • Initial offer of engagement shall be for a period of one year or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.
  • The total period of engagement under one project and/or combination of different projects shall not exceed 6 years (or 7 years in special cases as per CSIR norms).
  • Engagement may be terminated at any time on a notice of one month from either side or one month emoluments in lieu thereof.
  • Age relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women – 5 years; OBC – 3 years.
  • Result awaiting candidates are NOT eligible to apply.
  • Candidates currently employed must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
  • Women project personnel are eligible for maternity leave of 180 days; male project personnel for paternity leave of 15 days (only for two surviving children).
  • Project personnel are entitled to 12 days of leave per year (1 day per month); leave beyond this shall be without emoluments.
  • CSIR-IMMT reserves the right not to fill up any position(s) if so desired by the Competent Authority.
