- Internship Duration: 6 Months (Dec 2026 / Jan 2027 onwards). The internship period ranges from 4 weeks (minimum) to 6 months (maximum); only candidates offered 6-month internship are eligible for stipend.
- Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000/- per month (Fixed), paid in two equal installments of ₹15,000/- each — after completion of 3 months and after completion of 6 months via electronic transfer.
- Attendance: Minimum 15 days attendance per month is required for counting regularity.
- Expenses: Lodging, boarding, transport, medical, and any other expenditure shall be borne by the candidate.
- Extension: Candidates may request extension subject to overall limit of 6 months; no stipend beyond 6 months.
- Confidentiality: Interns are bound by the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 and DRDO rules. An undertaking will be sought from the candidate.
- Access: Interns will only be granted access to non-classified areas within DRDO laboratory.
- Leave: No leave except Sick Leave (with valid prescription); Gazetted/Closed Holidays as applicable to the laboratory will apply.
- Employment: Completion of internship does NOT guarantee employment at DRDO.
